I am typing this with tears all over my face as I hear my wife tell me what she has written for me to post..
these are Heather's words
a week ago today I heard words that changed my life forever.... ("she has leukemia")
I was at dance class, we had just had bagels. Kaitlyn begged to have her own "Super C " Smoothie, and to stand on a chair to watch her big sister dance through the window.
I always joked that my life is so boring, I don't have much to talk about...
I would give anything to go back and just do nothing with my girls.
I'm so numb... even in writing this I am not sure how i feel.
but I do know one thing. I will continue to fall at my heavenly father's feet... totally
broken, he will sustain me. he will be my guide. I don't know the future but I do know
that he is there.
2Cor 12:9
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

Dear Heather and Eric,
What a tremendous testimony you both have to share with everyone
midst your your anguish and tears,
going through Kaitlyn's painful Journey with Leukemia.
We weep with you. Yet, we are so very thankful to God at how He is hard at work using Kaitlyn to bless so many others. We thank God for such a wonderful hospital and working through all the doctors and staff.
We love you all so very much and praying earnestly and sincerely.
Great Grandparents, Travis & Jeanette Bollen
Oh Heather...
Holy Father, in your arms and in your way let them stay safe and protected, always knowing your great care and strength. Let their tears fall hard upon you and may you move mightily and powerfully as the Cotter's TESTIFY of your greatness while walking through every minute of this difficult road. Amen.
Oh my gosh this web site is such an awesome idea! You are all in my prayers each day. It is so encouraging to see how you guys are continuing to keep God as the center of your lives as you go through this difficult time. He is in control and He will get you through. You guys are amazing and I know that God is going to bless you in ways that you can not even imagine! If you need anything at all please let me know!!!
With Love,

Heather and Eric,
I am so grateful to pray to our heavenly Father and know that He hears and acknowledges our every word! He loves Kaitlyn more than we can imagine and I believe He is hard at work in your precious little girl. I cannot fully grasp what you are feeling, but I know that as you go on this journey, you are and will continue to lean on and trust in our Lord.
Kaitlyn is missed at Sunday school, but I look forward to her giggling at my pig, dog, cow and duck imitations while singing Old McDonald! She is such a sweet, kind and playful little girl.
We are praying constantly.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. Psalm 28:7

Heather~
I have missed seeing you so much through all of this, and have wanted to come visit you badly, but haven't been able to... but i really wanted you to know how strongly my prayers and heart are with you. Lisa Swaney told our class(es) about the interceding for 15 days strongly, and we have been every day (and will continue to). God is so good in the family he has given both you and Eric, and within the body of Christ!
I love you so much and just really wanted you to know that even though i haven't seen you in person, you eric maddie and especially kaitlyn are in my heart and more importantly PRAYERS.
In His love and mine, justine
Heather, You are in my prayers. As a mother of grown children I cannot imagine all that you are going through. This verse comes to mind: CASTING ALL YOUR CARE UPON HIM, FOR HE CARETH FOR YOU!!! Praying for you, Kaitlyn, your hubby & daughter (and the grandparents!)!

Heather-
My heart was aching as I walked down those familiar halls at CHOC.... a special place filled with sickness and sadness, but also a place filled with HOPE! Through this you are growing stronger as a mother, wife, Christian, and woman. You have hope in the Lord, and a wonderful hospital staff, family, and church who will support you! I'm praying for your health, your strength, and great wisdom to know just what to do to care for Kaitlyn. Rest assured we will take care of your house, your laundry, your meals, etc so you can focus on your sweet baby girl. You're doing a great job....keep the faith! Thanks again Eric for this great way to keep us all posted on your situation, Im sure its time consuming but very appreciated!
heather and eric
please know i am praying for you and little kaitlyn nonstop right now. there are literally dozens of people praying for her, many of whom have never seen her gorgeous smile!
i've got so much love for the whole cotter family...and while i can't say i understand, i know of the ordeal all too well.
please know that God loves kaitlyn more than all of us combined, and will take care of her no matter what. let me know if there's anything i can do to help you through this time...

Heather and Eric,
I am praying for Kaitlyn and for you. It hurts me to know that you (and many others in the world)have to go through this. I look at our little Allison and it reminds me how precious every moment is. The minute I heard your message I looked at Allison and just started crying. It is so hard as a parent to go through things like this, but we can have comfort knowing that God is always there walking through this with you. You really are such an inspiration to all. I love all that your grandparents said, they express what so many of us are feeling. We will continue to pray for Kaitlyn and you! We love you guys!
Love, Christi
What a perfect verse! My prayers are with you and your family and that beautiful Kaitlyn :)
